Kharkiv National Medical University
Kharkiv National Medical University formerly known as Kharkiv Medical Institute and previously Kharkiv State Medical University, is a medical university in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
Over 700 teachers work at the departments of the university. Staff capacity is 5 corresponding members NAMN Ukraine, 17 Honoured Scientist of Ukraine, 2 Honored high school Ukraine, 13 distinguished doctors of Ukraine, 8 winners of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Engineering, 28 academicians of the public academies of Ukraine, 28 employees - Member of International Medical Associations;. Since 1951, the University has been training medical personnel for countries of the Eastern Europe, China and Mongolia, and since 1961 it has been training students from other countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America. At present, there are about 3400 foreign students in the Kharkiv National Medical University who study at the Preparatory Department, Medical, Nursing and Dental Faculties, undergo postgraduate and clinical post-graduate (residency) courses as well as professional probation at departments of the University in Dental,
therapy, orthopedics, surgery, oncology, urology, psychiatry, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, as well as other medical specialties. The University has trained over 5000 specialists for 86 states of Europe, Asia, Latin America, Middle East countries. Among them there are 3 Doctors and 70 Candidates of Medical Science, about 200 clinical post-graduates (residents).
Kyiv Medical University
Kyiv Medical University or Private higher educational establishment "Kyiv Medical University" is a Ukrainian higher educational institution. Established in 1992, about 3,500 people study at the University.
As a university with the highest level of accreditation by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, all degrees issued to foreign students are legalized and apostilized by the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ukraine.
Kyiv Medical University (KMU) is recognized and listed in all relevant international directories of medical universities such as the International Medical Education Directory (IMED). This means graduates are eligible to write the United States Medical Licensing Examinations and means certificates are recognized by the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) in US and the Medical Council of Canada (MCC) for eligibility of graduates to obtain certification and Licensure hence may pursue residency and postgraduate programs in these countries.

Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv
Kyiv University or Shevchenko University or officially the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv[4] , colloquially known as KNU is located in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. The university is universally recognized as the most prestigious university of Ukraine, being the largest national higher education institution. KNU is ranked within top 650 universities in the world.[5] It is the third oldest university in Ukraine after the University of Lviv and University of Kharkiv. Currently, its structure consists of fifteen faculties (academic departments) and five institutes. It was founded in 1834 by the Russian Tsar Nikolai I[6] as the Kiev Imperial University of Saint Vladimir, and since then it has changed its name several times. During the Soviet Union era, Kiev State University was one of the top-three universities in the USSR, along with Moscow State University and Leningrad State University. It is ranked as the best university in Ukraine in many rankings (see below). Throughout history, the university has produced many famous alumni including Nikolay Bunge, Mykhailo Drahomanov, Mykhailo Hrushevskyi, Nikolai Berdyaev, Mikhail Bulgakov, Ivan Schmalhausen, Theodosius Dobzhansky, Viacheslav Chornovil, Leonid Kravchuk, and many others. Taras Shevchenko himself, banned from educational activities for political reasons, worked for the Kyiv University as a field researcher.
Odesa Medical University
The institution started in 1900 as the medical faculty of the Novorossiyskiy State University in Odessa. The medical faculty soon became one of the most prestigious medical faculties in the Russian Empire. Many famous medical scientists, including Nobel laureate and professor I. I. Mechnikov, worked here.
The medical faculty managed to survive the difficult and turbulent period of the early years of the Russian revolution and in 1922 it was transformed into the independent and autonomous Odessa State Medical Institute. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, it became Odessa State Medical University in an independent Ukrainian Republic.
Autumn 2018: Odessa National Medical University was seized by ousted former rector, Valeriy Zaporozhan. Valeriy Zaporozhan, who was an aide to disgraced former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, was fired from his post by Health Ministry of Ukraine in July. [1]
In January 2019 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to merge the University with the Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky of Vernadsky CFU to create a new Odessa National Medical University.[2]
Poltava State Medical University
It is a Ukrainian state-run medical and dental school and is also known as the Ukrainian Medical and Stomatological Academy (UMSA).
The University was established in the year 1921 by the dental faculty of Kharkiv Medical Academy.
In 1967, the University was moved to the city of Poltava and was renamed as the Poltava Ukrainian Medical Stomatological (oral medicine) Academy (PUMSA).
Due to its low death rate during surgery, the university received highest accreditation level and then it was renamed as Poltava State Medical University (PSMU) in the year 1994.
As of 2004, PSMU had a level-IV accreditation. Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy Poltava, is an NMC recognized Medical University in Ukraine.
Bogomolets National Medical University
Bogomolets National Medical University (NMU) is a medical school founded in 1841 in Kyiv, Russian Empire by the Russian Tsar Nicolas I.[1] The university is named after physiologist Alexander A. Bogomolets. NMU provides medical training for over 10,000 students, including about 1,300 foreigners from 56 countries.[citation needed] The university employs about 1,200 teaching staff.[2][3]
